About your Aston Villa, I tried to sign Benteke but they demanded me a huge amount of money and I rejected him. Nowadays they are in the middle of the Championship table and Benteke has only scored one goal. They lost Okore, Westwood, Weimann and Kozak.

Well, that's... unfortunate. The Championship can be a potential tar pit once you've fallen there getting back up can be really hard to pull off (teams like Boro, Charlton or Blackburn sure know it) and it's even more feasible to sink even lower than getting out of there (like it happened to Pompey... or even this very club in real life).

The team has experienced some ups and downs during these last few months, but it seems to be pretty stable overall. At this rate you'll be able to comfortably avoid relegation... which it's quite a relief ^^

Also impressive the victory in Elland Road against Man U, I guess that the morale must be sky high after beating your most heated rivals... without your ace player and top scorer.

Keep it up, you're doing a TERRIFIC job with this squad ^^

@Zlatan: First of all, I would like to tell you that your English level is much better than mine. So my apologies if there are some mistakes in my story. It's true the Sky Bet Championship is one of the hardest competitions in Europe and it is not strange see how a big club loses two categories consecutively. Although I think the economic difference between both divisions also affects, you know, economic crisis for these clubs.

About our triumph against United, it was absolutely unexpected! After atrocious matches anybody expected getting points in that match.

Carles Gil and Zukanovic are good players but I think if we want to build up a great squad, then they have no place here. Anyway we have to study each situation more carefully.

Premier League Monthly Report - January 2015/16

League table

Despite no all teams have played the same amount of matches, we think it is impossible to remember so tough league. There are 2 points between first and fifth right now. In the bottom part, Leicester got their two first victories against Newcastle and West Ham, both were as local. Everton got 9 points during January and go out from relegation places.

Player stats

The English players Welbeck and Johnson keep doing their best season as professional. Sygurdsson is impossible to oust as the best key passer. Jonathan Soriano, who was injured during January, lost his position in the top 5.

Player of the Month

After two third positions, Welbeck gets his first award as Player of the Month. He got an average of one goal per match.

Young Player of the Month

Hughes is the first young player that gets this award twice this season. Henriquez, like his teammate Bradley, surprises everyone appearing in the podium despite he was an unusual player for Van Gaal.

Manager of the Month

Despite their bad start, Mourinho and his Chelsea have already got to reach the top 4 in the league table. This achievement has been used by Mourinho to get his second award as Manager of the Month this season. Mark Viduka gets the second place. Only Hughton (Southampton), Redknapp (QPR), Viduka (Leeds) and Hughes (Stoke) have got appear in the podium as best managers of the month.

You might have a point there actually, I don't think that Zukanovic will have a lasting impact on the team... he's more like a (one heck of) patch so to speak, however Carles Gil has plenty of room for improvement and 2.500.000 € for him is quite the bargain if you ask me.

Yet another great monthly performance of the boys (it's a shame about FA Cup, but hey... it couldn't be helped, you were pitted against Chelsea after all), and it's nice to see how quickly are the new reinforcements adapting to the Premier League, Astina is beginning to prove his worth astoundingly fast ^^

By the way, congrats for the runner-up in the Manager of the month award. ^^

Vaya temporada nos estamos marcando en la siguiente campaña del ascenso. Gran victoria ante el Manchester United, los jugadores tenían que estar en las nubes en esos momentos. Un partido sufrido ante el Colchester con el gol que nos daba la clasificación justo en el descuento. Tenemos la 9ª posición con 16 puntos por encima del descenso, muy mal se nos tendría que dar para no mantenernos otra temporada más en la Premier League. Soriano tiene que estar a punto de regresar a los terrenos de juego, ¿no? ¿Cuánto le queda para volver?

I see you shared my opinion about Zukanovic though I have to tell you Zukanovic is doing a great season, to be honest, better than Carles Gil. I'm not sure about what I have to do with him.

Our season is really good up to now but we have to keep working and try to keep the level to reach a European position at the end. We will try it. Thank you for your congratulations about Viduka's award but he wants to get the first position! ^^

@Lakasito: Buenas crack, un placer volverte a ver por aquí, espero que estés disfrutando de la historia! Yo sinceramente ya no pienso en el descenso ya que, más allá de las posibilidades matemáticas, las sensaciones que transmite el equipo sobre el campo son excelentes. Aún así, obviamente, voy a estar más tranquilo cuando eso sea un hecho ^^ Sobre Soriano ya está volviendo, de hecho jugó ya el último partido de PL a pesar de no estar al 100%. Esperamos que no haya perdido el olfato durante este mes y que pueda hacer gran dupla con el joven Astina. Gracias y te veo pronto!

Premier League Monthly Report - February 2015/16

League table

Manchester City could be on the top if they won the three matches that remain to play. Anyway, five teams still in the race to the title and they are giving us an amazing season. Leicester, after the winter signings, seem that they could struggle for the continuity in PL though it will be really hard.

Player stats

Glen Johnson disappears as the most regular player of the Premier League. Danny Welbeck, who is also one of the top goal scorers, leads the list. Surprising appearence of Soriano in the list of the most key passers that demonstrates he is not only a goal scorer.

Player of the Month

Robin, who is already 32 years old, got his first award of the season after he had scored more than one goal per match during February. The podium was completed by Wanyama who is playing wonderfully this season and Shin-Wook, who scored three of his four goals of the season during this month.

Young Player of the Month

Pasalic, who is on loan from Chelsea and he was prowling around the award during all season, was awarded as Young Player of the Month.

Manager of the Month

Second consecutive award and third of the season for Jose Mourinho. His Chelsea only lost two points in the Swansea's stadium and seems an unbeatable team right now.
